𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐞𝐜
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲! In 2009 I graduated from the @unibirmingham with an MSc. Investments, a massive thank you to the University of Birmingham #BusinessSchool and the #Community, I always cherish the memories and friendships from my time at #UoB Like me every year, approximately 800,000 people graduate in the UK. Some go for higher education, many secure full-time/part-time jobs, a few take a gap year and travel around the world, and the smallest % of graduates go for startups trying to solve a problem. Like many graduates, I was able to secure a full-time job at #Barclays Head Office, within corporate banking, which gave me a great start in the UK. After 13 years, I continue to be associated with #Barclays, a great place to work and grow Over the years, my entrepreneurship side kept me curious, I have many ideas to solve real-time problems people face. From #commodities, #innovative #products, #service sector, #trading, #property, and the list goes on. Most of my inspiration comes from the problems I have faced living in the UK, from reading a wide range of entrepreneurship-related #books and #networking with like-minded people It was 2019, when I officially registered my first #StartUp, since then I have directly or indirectly successfully launched over 15 new #Startups, most of them growing from strength to strength, couple of them successfully dissolved. This is possible because of the like-minded people and the #community I have built over the years, which plays the role of an incubator for startups. After the #US, the #UK stays on the top followed by #China, #India, and #Israel for the startup economy. In fact, the largest number of startups registered in the UK's history was in 2020-2021, with 800,000 companies. The second highest number was the year after, between March 2021 and March 2022, with 753,168 companies. The total number of companies registered reached 4,000,000 companies in 2016-2017, and it is likely to hit 5,000,000 by March 2023 (actual numbers yet to be published) The #StartUps are the real backbone of our economy, when the #StartUps grow, they create jobs, support the local economy, and solve local problems.


Hᴀᴘᴘʏ ᴛᴏ sʜᴀʀᴇ ᴏᴜʀ Q3 ɴᴇᴡsʟᴇᴛᴛᴇʀ﹕ Our achievements in Q3 demonstrate our commitment to the mission of the JDC group of companies, we have a simple mission “To solve the housing crisis in the UK”, and we know, it is not an easy one. We are focused on achieving our mission through collaboration, collective effort and long-term investments. At JDC group we had four exciting development projects which were initiated at the end of Q1. Happy to announce the four projects were successfully completed in Q3. I take this opportunity to thank our Power Team, investors, internal and external stakeholders, family and friends for their continued support and Trust. As the economic climate is changing drastically, our team has worked hard and stayed focused on the ongoing projects. This demonstrates the experience of The Power Team to make it possible. In Q3 our development projects GDV crossed £1.4 million. Our highest GDV was achieved in a quarter. As we continue to hit new milestones, we are investing in growing our team and exploring new avenues in the value chain, to expand and continue the growth story. 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐦𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐝. This year we celebrated dad 70th birthday 🎂 . Over the last few months, I reflected on the lessons learned and how they have shaped my journey. During his youth, Dad decided to travel to Mumbai (Bombay) from his native place Kerala in search of opportunities. If you cannot find the opportunity in your native place, relocate. No formal higher qualification 🎓 , for almost 20 years Dad worked in the engineering sector and developed the skills through experience. You don’t need any qualifications to be successful, experience is the best teacher. It was in the 1991 financial crisis 📉 , Dad lost his job, with all his life savings, and at the age of 38 decided to start a new venture. This venture successfully supported the family. It's never too late to start something new. At the age of 51 Dad gave up the consumption of tobacco, in 2023 it’s been 19 years. Never borrowed any personal loan or credit in his entire life, he lived a debt-free life and never got involved with interest ⛔ Always kept the expenses within the means and his focus was only to bring up the family. When asked for help, he will go the extra mile to help the person in need. Always kept relationships with true friends, and found time to catch up and visit. The daily morning prayer prepared him for all the challenges. His spiritual life has inspired me in many ways. He gave importance to education and supported both the children with education in different ways. There is no substitute for hard work. Being happy and smiling 😀 is the best way to deal with any situation in life. Many more words of wisdom, that's for another day!

𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 - 𝐍𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐮 The celebration of life, on the 28th day we have a traditional celebration. Family come together and celebrate the gift of a newborn and offer thanksgiving. It’s also known as “Noolukettu”. The lighting of the traditional lamp – symbolises Christ is the light “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 14:6 Following that we read the Word of God, Andrew read “Proverbs” Chapter 4 “A Father’s Instruction.” and exchanged peace with all the members of the family. A black thread and a golden chain are tied around the baby's waist on this day. Grandparents bless the child and encourage the child to grow in faith. Bennet was presented with a rosary. A traditional vegetarian dinner, which is served on the banana leaf, with a menu of 20 different dishes. The joy of cooking the traditional dishes together, and sharing the stories associated with each dish, is a real treat. The next celebration is due, and the entire family prepares for Baptism (a newborn is baptised on the 8th day) We are taking a longer time for preparation. It now costs over twice as much to buy a property than to build one, new research from Searchland reveals. Analysis from the development site sourcing specialists compared basic building costs in terms of labour and materials to new build prices. It found that typical new builds cost £198,000 to construct and £436,000 to buy – a difference of £238,000 or 120.1% more. Research shows that mindsets play a significant role in determining life’s outcomes. By understanding, adapting and shifting your mindset, you can improve your health, decrease your stress and become more resilient to life’s challenges. The easy way to identify is by asking yourself a couple of questions. 1. Failure is an opportunity to grow, if you have not failed, you have not tried hard enough. 2. I can learn to do anything I want. I am a lifelong student, always willing to learn. 3. Challenges help me to grow as an Individual and help unlock my full potential. 4. Feedback is a constructive, open-door policy to receive feedback. 5. I like to try new things, new ways, new places and new ventures. Over the years, I have learned and implemented a Growth mindset, and how to stay in the Growth mindset zone. A growth mindset is different to different people, Kendra Cherry, who is a psychosocial rehabilitation specialist, shares how to unfix the fixed mindset: 𝐅𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲. An important factor when building a growth mindset is seeing the value in your journey. When you're fixated on the end result, you miss out on all the things you could be learning along the way. 𝐏𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬. Replace negative thoughts with more positive ones to build a growth mindset. 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬. Making mistakes is one of the best ways to learn.5 So, instead of shying away from challenges, embrace them.
